Dear readers, the Nov 23 Singapore Savings Bonds (SSB), SBNOV23 GX23110V is open for application!
As I have expected and given a heads-up to all in my previous post, the average 10-year interest rate of GX23110V is really very decent: at 3.32% per annum and actual interest % per annum for Year 1 through Year 10 of holding is as follows:
Year 1 to Year 6: 3.21% per annum
Year 7: 3.30% per annum
Year 8: 3.52% per annum
Year 9 and Year 10: 3.63% per annum each
Closing date of application for SBNov 23 SSB is 26 Oct 23 with allotment of the bond on 27 Oct 23, after 3pm. Issuance of the bond is on 1 Nov 23 (by end of the day). More details of the bond are here.
Also, let us recap the average 10-year interest returns of previous recent SSBs:
Jan-23 3.26% per annum
Feb-23 2.97% per annum
Mar-23 2.90% per annum
Apr-23 3.15% per annum
May-23 3.07% per annum
Jun-23 2.81% per annum
Jul-23: 2.82% per annum
Aug-23: 2.99% per annum
Sep-23: 3.06% per annum
Oct-23: 3.16% per annum
Nov-23: 3.32% per annum
I am not surprised that from Oct 22 to Nov 23 SSB, the increase in average 10-year interest rate is significant, since the average interest rate of 6-month T-bill has already reached beyond 4% per annum to 4.07%.
