Dear readers, welcome to Saturday once again, after a week of busy work! How are you feeling today? For today, I am going to share with you a tip that can save you some monies if you are going shopping later. A tip that arose from my recent shopping experience.
Just a few days ago, I was shopping for an item. Upon payment, it dawned on me that this shop is yet another shop that does not give free plastic bags to contain the items which I have purchased. I have to pay $1.50 if I am to get a plastic bag. As I have a sling bag with me, I took out my umbrella from the sling bag so that I have space to place the item bought into the sling bag and held the umbrella as I continued to shop outside. I will not pay for plastic bag unless if there are really no choices.
It dawned on me that I have forgotten to put a used plastic bag from supermarket or recyclable bag into my sling bag when I was out. A supermarket plastic bag always seems so humble and I think all of us have many of these at home. But when it comes to being caught without a plastic bag to contain your purchases and having to pay if you need one, such a humble supermarket plastic bag seems priceless!
Based on my own experiences being caught without a plastic bag, I came to determine that each of my supermarket plastic bag at home is valued at around $1 to $2 (typically the price retailers charge if you ask them for a plastic bag at places where plastic bags are not provided for free).
Hence, this tip is for you and will save you monies if you intend to go shopping later: bring along a plastic bag. And please remember to ensure your mask is worn properly, practise safe distancing and management measures. Stay Safe and Stay Strong, Everyone!
