Dear readers, I had a good night sleep yesterday and it is very welcome as I awake, feeling much more energised than in previous days.
Workwise, I have been overstretched but as much as I am being overstretched, I will try as much as possible not to compromise on sleep, on rest and recovery. This is because the more I try to get more work done by working excess hours beyond work, the more I find it counter-productive. The “results” will show up the next day after a night of overwork where one will not achieve much done in terms of quality and quantity of work. And one will end up even more tired than before.
This is why rest and recovery are so important to ensure that our bodies remain optimal in handling the daily demands, not just in work but also in other areas of life like family, health, community, interests and others.
And in these current days of Covid-19, having more sleep helps us build better immunity.
Thus, I encourage all to sleep earlier as the advantages of a good and better sleep are just so many and appreciated!
With better health, we can build better wealth by being more attuned physically to doing better work in all areas of life and alert to opportunities in life.
