Is there one bullet-proof way to prepare for the stocks markets crash when it happens? Already there are signs pointing to a possibility of a stocks markets crash. First and foremost, the ongoing US-China trade war developments. Speaking of the trade war developments, the US tariffs on China will kick in from today and I believe this is a development that is closely watched by the investing community.
Notwithstanding the implementation of tariffs on China from today, the trade negotiations between US and China will continue. For market watchers who are rather fixated on how the development of the US-China trade war will affect the stocks markets, in my earlier analysis on the global stocks markets , I have shared that investors should be instead looking at the raft of factors that are already present for their answer on whether the much talked-about potential stocks market crash is a matter of “when” rather than a matter of “if”.
There are already signs that globally investors’ sentiments are bearish. Signs like the yield curve inversion . And it is really true in my opinion to think that the US-China trade tensions will not be a factor per ser to cause a potential stocks market crash but it is just one of the few catalysts that investors are seeing now.
In the eventuality of a stock market recession, what investors should have is not regrets of having too much capital in equities which are then pared down to become paper or liquidated losses. Instead, investors should treat the recession as an opportunity to create financial wealth from buying the right stocks at the right time at discounted prices.
