Dear readers, this morning, I witnessed the legendary Muay Thai fighter, Nong-O knocked out by another highly skilled opponent, Jonathan Haggerty in One Championship Batamweight Muay Thai competition , live from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand. I watched from a live telecast.
I was very shocked and surprised that Nong-O, one of the icons of Muay Thai will lose his Championship belt to the 5th-ranked Jonathan Haggerty.
Nong-O was defeated in just the first round but I believe Nong-O did his best as he withstood the first two knockout punches from Jonathan Haggerty, before succumbing to the final punch.
I can imagine that the defeat was even more regrettable, as Nong-O lost the match in front of Thai audience and right in the country he was born and trained in the martial arts.
