Recently, I took the opportunity to invest in some US stocks when the US and China trade tensions went south. These US stocks which I have invested were stocks which I would hold for the long term, as it appealed to me that these stocks were at a discount from what investors would normally pay. I was also prepared that the stocks could head lower but it did not matter to me as my target holding period in these US stocks would be for the longer period.
As the US and China trade tensions showed some signs of improvement, my investments were already at a profit level currently. And I would be tracking the macro environment very closely to consider whether to do a quick trade on these stocks and re-enter these stocks at a lower price.
