Dear readers, we are on Day 1 of Singapore’s National Day long weekends! I hope you are feeling Great and Staying Strong and Healthy!
While the long weekends are great opportunities to go out and have a breath of fresh air, do adhere to safe distancing and safe management measures!
Singapore’s National Day celebrations this year will be done in two parts as I think you will know by now. First, a ceremonial parade on 9 Aug 21, the actual National Day. And then the other celebrative segments on 21 Aug 21.
This year has been a year where Singaporeans and the world continue our resilience against Covid-19. I hope to see some magic shows during National Day celebrations since magic allows many of us to escape reality for a while into imaginative lands.
Speaking about magic, I immediately thought of my favourite magician, David Copperfield! For younger readers, David Copperfield may not ring a bell. But when I was young, David Copperfield was a very famous magician. In fact, I still remembered two of this most famous stunts: making Statue of Liberty disappear and walking through the Great Wall of China!
Let us revisit these two acts of David Copperfield below and have a Great long weekends and National Day!
