Dear readers, it was yesterday announced that the restrictions under Singapore’s Stabilisation Phase which commenced on 27 Sep 2021 and originally scheduled to last until 24 Oct 2021 would be extended to Nov 2021.
In recent days, the number of local community cases has neared 4,000 cases and there was a record of 18 deaths yesterday.
Singapore’s primary school students are having a school break this week and will return to school next week. School Holidays will start 20 Nov 2021.
In view of the current Covid-19 situation and given primary school students are not yet vaccinated, why not let Primary School have HBL (Home Based Learning) from next week to 19 Nov 2021 and return to their school only next year after the November and December school holidays?
It will just be a few weeks if the students return school to the year-end holidays and I believe most of the curriculum for the year should have been taught. It is better to let students stay at home doing HBL and avoid unnecessary possible exposure to Covid-19.
Our children are the future of Singapore! Let us give them even more protection in these current times when the local community cases are trending higher and higher.
