Dear readers, today is Saturday once again! I wish All of you a Happy weekends!
Whenever it comes to weekends, I will try to post more light-hearted articles here on SG Stocks Investing for this is the only time of the week where many of us can catch a breather.
Speaking of a breather, I definitely need one, a good breather as this month has been a super hectic month for me at work (work from home). For the last five days, I was practically in a retreat.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not talking about those retreats like holidays, staycation or spa retreats. What I am talking about are retreats akin to those retreats you may have watched from those martial arts dramas where the main protagonist steps into some caves, practises his martial skills and emerges after a period of retreat.
It was something like what I experienced for the previous five days of work. Sitting on a chair, at the computer the whole day from morning to night (yes overtime). And for a rare period of my life, I don’t recall going out from my house at all for these five days! And hence yes, a retreat of hard work, filled with meetings, supervising my staff and meeting timelines after another.
That is why, I made it a point to stop work yesterday right after office hours have ended and went for a good long and well-deserved walk along park connectors in the neighbourhood for close to 6km.
We are not robots and need to destress, aren’t we?
If you have no weekend plans yet, why not go to the nature reserves and parks to destress in nature?
And you may be like me, who caught a glimpse of a family of five to six otters yesterday swimming in a monsoon canal after the sun has set, camouflaged in their skin tone with the dim surroundings! If you are out in nature later and catch a sight of otters, they may be those I sighted!
Happy weekends!
