What many will be looking out for, will be on the quantum of the average annual 10-year interest rate of the bond.
We have noted a steady increase in the average annual 10-year interest rates of past Singapore Savings Bonds consecutively:
Feb 24: 2.81% per annum
Mar 24: 2.88% per annum
Apr 24: 3.04% per annum
May 24: 3.06% per annum
Jun 24: 3.33% per annum
Is the trend here to stay and continue for the July 24 Singapore Savings Bonds?
Taking the cue from the Singapore 6-month Treasury bills, where cut-off yields have dipped, I am not surprised that the average annual 10-year interest rates of July 2024 Singapore Savings Bonds will similar head in the same direction.
I give a projection of 3.2% per annum for the July 24 Singapore Savings Bonds.
