Dear readers, if you are looking for ways to get to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve from Macritchie reservoir or Nature Trail, then you have come to the right place. In this post, I will share with you just how to get to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve from Macritchie Reservoir or Macritchie Nature Trail.
First, walk the nature trail from Macritchie Reservoir in the direction headed off to Venus Drive although we will not be leaving the trail from Venus Drive. The main aim is to look for a clear notice sign that will guide you to the pathway to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve: you will find this sign after you have passed by the Jelutong Tower.
Next, follow the aforementioned sign to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and just keep walking and walking. As you walk, the grass and soil will become sandy and rocky, just continue to walk until the nature trail ends. At this juncture, you will be able to see a building and find yourself at the start of Rifle Range road.
This is where you may find yourself at a loss as to where you should head next as there is no clear directional sign from this point to show you how to get to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Do not worry, just walk along the Rifle Range Road.
Walk along Rifle Range Road in a straight direction: do not turn left or right. Walk until you find yourself crossing what seems to be a bridge with an expressway (the BKE) below you. There you are: getting nearer to the start of the path to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.
After you cross the bridge, look on your right to spot a quite distinct grassy pathway and walk onto it. There you are, at the start of the next path to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. You should find yourself at this area.
You should be able to see some tall condominiums some distance away. Walk in the direction towards these condominiums and not the other direction (which will bring you walking along almost the entire length of Rifle Range road!).Continue walking till you see these iconic drainage pipes and you know you are on your way to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve!
