Dear readers, we will be welcoming Year 2021 in just two weeks. Every time it comes to the close of a year, it is always a good time to carry out a review of one’s life in the year in various aspects. One of these aspects is definitely the financial part since this part is important to everyone.
It is on the above note that in recent days, I started to look through my financial spreadsheet to see how much I have saved for the year and compared this with previous years.
It is also on the above note that I recently ensure all important financial documents like insurance-related ones are all properly filed.
It is also on the above note that I recently renew a fixed deposit product to earn some very humble returns while waiting for a good entry point on the stock markets.
And it is also on the backdrop of a Covid-19 year where many lives have been impacted both personally and financially that I feel grateful for still having a decent job. Yes, job is important to many since to many including me, our livelihoods depend on the employment income.
On the investment front, Year 2020 is a volatile year and while some have made much profits investing in selected themes or buying at the lows of Year 2020, I have not made new positions at all in line with my discipline in investing. The low of the stocks markets in March 2020 is not low enough to be attractive and it is always on hindsight that investors know that markets gain after March 2020.
