Dear readers, the findings of the Household Expenditure Survey 2023 was recently released.
Here are the 4 things I learnt from the survey:
1. Average monthly household income in Singapore rose by 4.1% annually between 2017/18 and 2023 from $12,661 to $15,473.
2. Average monthly household expenditure in Singapore rose by 2.8% annually between 2017/18 and 2023 from $5,163 to $5,931.
3. Average household spend on food: $1,422 monthly
4. Average household spend on transport: $951 monthly
