Dear readers, one of Singapore’s top financial bloggers has turned into a PSI (yes “Pollutant Standard Index”, the buzzword in Singapore right now) tracker. Tom K, author of SG STOCKS INVESTING https://sgstocksinvesting.com/ who is one of Singapore’s top financial bloggers has turned into a PSI tracker as he started to smell, sense, think and feel HAZE right from 18 Sep 2019 (today)!
“Today’s condition (of haze) is really bad” said Tom K. “I can smell haze right in my house. I am not surprised to see the hazy skies when I wake up.” Tom K added: “Looking at the 24-hourly PSI reading on the TV and correlating to what I am seeing outside, sometimes I thought that the PSI reading would have been higher.”
With the aforementioned in mind, Tom K turned into a PSI tracker for the day. Not to check whether the PSI reading is correct but for the practical reason for trying to stay healthy throughout yet another busy and hectic day at work. Even though Tom K works in a fully air-conditioned office.
Explained Tom K: “You see, to many people, Health is often connected with the physical actions. Like doing exercise, eating fruits and vegetables and etc. But really Health is also spiritual and psychological”. Tom K elaborated “ though being in an air-conditioned office, just merely looking at the really hazy scenary outside already causes me to feel unhealthy psychologically and unhealthy. It does not need to take one to smell the hazy air outside to be unhealthy”.
With the lacklustre stocks markets conditions, Tom K also believes that investors will- for this hazy period- prefer to track the PSI readings for the day rather than looking at the Straits Times Index making limited moves for the day.
When asked how the air will look like when the PSI goes any higher, Tom K said “refer to my picture in post” (at the top of this post, provided you can make out the picture amidst the haze!).
