Dear readers, these days when I went back to office, I noticed more than half of my colleagues exhibiting some kinds of mild illness like coughing, sneezing or hoarse voices.
Indeed, I also noticed more commuters demonstrating the same symptoms when I was in public transport.
The good thing is that I see more people donning on masks now too, be it during public commute or at work. I also started wearing back my masks when it comes to interactions with peoples or at public places.
The heightened awareness by many comes on the back of an increased Covid-19 incidence and it is heartening to see people wearing masks voluntarily to help protect themselves and everyone.
While the increased Covid-19 incidence coincides with the current flu season, I also think that increased social gatherings during the year-end also contribute to the spike in Covid-19 cases here. For instance, I myself have had quite a few year-end gatherings organised by my company.
I encourage all of us to try masking up as much as possible now in social settings and reduce social activities when one is not feeling well. When everyone feels and acts this way, the current Covid-19 high incidence will only head south.
