FOUR OVERSOLD STRAITS TIMES INDEX STOCKS RIGHT NOW!

Dear readers, ever since the rout in global stock markets (including Singapore’s) earlier this week, many major stock markets have since rebounded.

Among the 30 Straits Times Index (STI) constituent stocks, 4 STI stocks remain Oversold (i.e. with RSI of below 30).

The four oversold STI stocks are:

Capitaland Investment

Keppel

SIA

UOB

Specifically, in the last one month, the above 4 stocks have each shed value as follows:

Capitaland Investment: -6.7%

Keppel: -11.2%

SIA: -13.8%

UOB: -9.4%

I am personally not vested in the above 4 stocks.

Is it time to invest in the above stocks right now? Or will investors doing so catch a “falling knife” by entering right now? Will there be more downside to the global stock rout next?

I believe the above 3 questions are legitimate questions to be asked by investors.

I will only say that where investing is concerned, investing is for the longer-term and investors should not be affected by short-term market volatilities. Read more on performance of the Straits Times Index as at 16 Aug 2024.
