Dear readers, the result of December 2019 Singapore Savings Bonds is out. Of the $150,000 amount of Dec 2019 Singapore Savings Bonds on offer, only $42,971,500 were issued though the amount applied was slightly higher at This translated into just $43,742,000. The aforementioned translated into an allotment rate of just 28.6%.
The above result was not surprising since as per my earlier post on December 2019 Singapore Savings Bond , the average return of December 2019 Singapore Savings Bond was only a modest 1.71% on average which is lower than a number of fixed deposits currently.
But Singapore Savings Bonds should be seen in its own right: of getting returns over a 10-year period. Which in this case translates to 17.1% of the capital in ten years of holding.
