CRYPTO LISTING IN SINGAPORE

Dear readers, it was recently reported that the Singapore Stock Exchange has no immediate plans to allow Cryptocurrency listings on its bourse.

Outside of Singapore, Hong Kong Stock Exchange has listed six Bitcoin and Ether ETFS in April.

In the same report, SGX CEO has commented the ecosystem at this point in time is not ready for such products in Singapore.

I also believe the Singapore investors are also not ready for an ecosystem where they have lost  their hard-earned investment capital in their investing in S-chips, former STI constituent stocks which have under-performed and subsequently removed from STI or became privatized, or quite a number of small-cap or penny stocks which just caused investors to lose monies.

I am not sure whether by not moving fast to this crypto-currency Singapore, Singapore stock markets will be ceding the first-moving advantages in the Cryptocurrency realm to other stock exchanges.
