COVID-19 CASES IN SINGAPORE: SECOND WAVE COMING?

Dear readers, in the past week, an increasing number of Covid-19 community cases have happened here in Singapore. This has sparked concern of whether a second wave of Covid-19 infections will hit Singapore or is in the midst of making. The government has tightened controls and for the past few days, a list of places visited by Covid-19 patients while they were infectious has also been published on the mass media, which to me is rather helpful. Prime Minister Lee has also weighed in on the situation, saying that the government will do its best to avoid a second Circuit Breaker for Singapore.  I have been informed by my boss to go to office for a maximum of two days a week and to telecommute from home as far as possible.

Singapore cannot be safe until the whole world is safe. I have thought that the Covid-19 epidemic will have slowed down with vaccines but so far from what we have been seeing, results of vaccines are mixed across countries. And there have been reports of mutations of the Covid-19 virus. But I always hold the view that having a vaccine, keeping the populace vaccinated is better than none.

I will be watching the numbers of the community Covid-19 cases with caution. Whether or not a second wave will hit Singapore or is in the midst of making, every one here on Singapore should continue to do their best to reduce the spread of Covid-19. But I really hope Singapore continue to open its border to other countries cautiously and gradually.

That’s it for my insights today.  I Thank you once again for your support of SG STOCKS INVESTING, your Money and Lifestyle magazine! Connect with me here to follow the daily exciting and useful posts on these two blogs, Thank You for your support!
