Dear readers, it was announced today that all Singapore HDB households will get S$300 in Climate vouchers from 15 April 2024.
The Climate vouchers will be in digital format and come in a mix of denominations and can be used to purchase more efficient appliances like:
Refrigerators
Air-conditioners
Washing machines
Shower fittings
LED lights
Direct current fans
Water closets
Basin taps and mixers
Sink/bib taps and mixers
The Climate vouchers can be used until 31 Dec 2027 and at a number of merchant stores including FairPrice, Cold Storage, Best Denki, Fain City and Sheng Siong.
Singapore HDB households can claim their Climate vouchers online via RedeemSG with their Singpass accounts from 15 April 2024.
This was not the first time the government issues Climate vouchers to Singapore Households. In 2020, Climate vouchers worth $225 per household were given to one-room to three-room HDB flats.
I have a suggestion on how to use the Climate vouchers to unlock even more value for Singapore HDB households.
For HDB households which have not used up their CDC vouchers, why not use the Climate vouchers, together with the CDC vouchers to buy the appliances under the Climate vouchers initiatives from merchants which accept both the CDC and Climate vouchers?
Doing so, households may need to pay less for the appliances they are looking to buy!
