Dear readers, the new or good-as-new bank notes for the Chinese New Year are now up for collection! The offer of the bank notes began on Thursday (7 Jan 2020) and not surprisingly, demand was strong as evident from the long lines of snaking queues that were shown to all of us on televisions. You may also have seen the long queues if you were at the bank these days.
I attempted to exchange for the new bank notes in the last two days. I thought I was early but I was greeted by the sign that the bank notes have been fully exchanged for the day. Just take a look at the photo which I have taken above.
My advice for those who want to exchange new bank notes: Do it early, Do it NOW! So as to ensure that you will get the new bank notes rather than the good-as-new bank notes.
