I believe the most important detail will be the cut-off yield (interest rate) of the T-Bill, which many applicants of the T-bill will be interested in. Let us take a look at the cut-off yields of the previous 6-month T-bills.
BS23122F, auction date: 8 Nov 23; cut-off yield of 3.75% per annum.
BS23121A, auction date: 26 Oct 23; cut-off yield of 3.95% per annum.
BS23120A, auction date: 12 Oct 23; cut-off yield of 3.87% per annum.
BS23119H, auction date: 28 Sep 23; cut-off yield of 4.07% per annum.
BS23118F, auction date: 14 Sep 23; cut-off yield of 3.73% per annum.
BS23117F, auction date: 31 Aug 23; cut-off yield of 3.70% per annum.
BS23116F, auction date: 17 Aug 23; cut-off yield of 3.73% per annum.
BS23115E, auction date: 3 Aug 23; cut-off yield of 3.75% per annum
BS23114A, auction date: 20 Jul 23; cut-off yield of 3.85% per annum
BS23113V, auction date: 6 Jul 23; cut-off yield of 3.99% per annum
BS23112N, auction date: 22 Jun 23; cut-off yield of 3.89% p.a. per annum
BS23111W, auction date: 8 Jun 23; cut-off yield of 3.84% p.a. per annum
Looking at the cut-off yields of the above recent T-bills, we note that there is no discernible trend. Just as we thought that the cut-off yield of BS23122F will reach 4% based on the linear increase of cut-off yield from BS23120A to BS23121A, the cut-off yield of BS23122A declines to one of the lowest in recent tranches: 3.75% per annum.
I project a cut-off yield (interest rate) for the upcoming BS23123Z at 3.86% per annum, based on the average of the most recent three 6-month T-bills.
