Dear readers, with effect from January 2022 (i.e. this month) where work from home is no longer a default, I am, like many employees, going back to office more every week while still retaining the arrangement to work from home on some days of the week.
Having worked from home for most of the previous two years, going back to office once again has become something that I am adapting to. You see, while I have no problems working in office or at home technically, going back to work has somehow broken the overall momentum of my working, based mainly from home: the hours spent on commuting, the hours spent on limited physical interactions with colleagues.
Given a choice, I will still prefer to work from home on all days of the week in view of the current Covid-19 situation in Singapore and I find myself more productive working from home.
Hence, I am adapting to a new work routine.
