Indeed, as Tom K found out early in his investing journey where he lost thousands of hard-earned monies to the stocks markets, profitable investing is not easy if one focuses on chasing after profits and not protecting the downside.
If you have applied many investing techniques be it fundamental analysis, technical analysis, value investing, are not seeing results and are wondering why, the answer is actually very simple. Many of these analyses either are premised on certain assumptions which do not hold true in real life going forward or are based on past price actions which are already history. Tom K believes that there is a certain limit to these different analysis models since stocks investing is all about investing in companies. Companies are helmed by management who being humans are dynamic. Likewise, operating landscape of companies are shaped by dynamic developments regularly too.
