A REAL LESSON OF A $15 MURTABAK REVEALED!

Dear readers, yesterday I was at a hawker centre and ordered two large Murtabaks for dinner.

After a long wait, my two Murtabaks were ready and when it came to payment, I was shocked to hear from the stall uncle that the bill was $30!

I asked the uncle how the Murtabak could be $15 each when the signboard clearly showed that the Murtabak costs $8/$10. The uncle told me to the effect that the two prices were for small and medium Murtabak, and a large Murtabak would cost more, at $15.

Hearing what the uncle said, frankly speaking, I felt that it was not fair to me, as a customer as the displayed prices seem to be misleading as I would have thought that from the displayed price, a large Murtabak costs $10 each.

If what the uncle said was true and that the price of the large Murtabak is not within the signboard, I believe that he could also have come up with a random price when collecting payment from me, if he wanted: $20 or even $100 per Murtabak, there is nothing to stop him from doing so!

I have learnt my lesson well: if possible confirm price with the stall first before ordering, as far as possible.

That’s it for my insights today.  I Thank you once again for your support of SG STOCKS INVESTING, your Money and Lifestyle magazine! Connect with me here to follow the daily exciting and useful posts on these two blogs, Thank You for your support!
