A PROFIT OF $18,400 RISK-FREE? HAVE YOU PROFITED?

Dear readers, when market opportunities come along, investors should grab the best use of the opportunities. For when investors act wisely and grab the opportunities, they could reap good rewards like a profit of $18,400 risk-free. Like how some of you may have profited.

A $18,400 profit risk-free? And for which readers like yourself may have profited without knowing? Yes, what is Tom K talking about? Well, I would show you right now what I mean.

The July 2018 Singapore Savings Bonds offer a 2.63% average annual return when held over a 10-year holding period. The latest issue of the Singapore Savings Bonds (December 2019 Singapore Savings Bonds) offers a humbler 1.71% average annual return.

Hence, if an investor has invested the maximum $200,000 in the July 2018 tranche of the Singapore Savings Bonds as versus the upcoming Dec 2019 Singapore Savings Bonds, he would have reaped a profit of 0.92% more per annum on his $200,000 deposit. And over his holding period of 10 years, the investor would have profited $18,400 more than if he chooses to invest his $200,000 in the Dec 2019 Singapore Savings Bond.

Of course, a maximum single allotment of $200,000 in the July 2018 tranch would not have been possible but the above reasoning just serves to highlight how much a few percentage point would translate over a longer horizon.

And from what the trend shows, it seems that the Singapore Savings Bond would continue to offer lower interests against the current economical backdrop.
