Dear readers, I have a good breakfast this morning at a hawker centre.
The good breakfast is a nice break from my hectic work as I have been working day and night, weekdays and weekends on work and important projects.
It is good to step away from work, embrace the sunlight, breathe in fresh air when the weather is still quite cool.
The breakfast is all the more better as the meal I have are both good and value-for-money:
1. Wanton mee soup at $5
2. Hot Kopi Gao at $1.20
3. Peanut pancake at $0.90
Yes, I have items 2 and 3 together.
The above meal is just $7.10 and for a nutritious, delicious and value-for-money meal. $7.10 at a cosy café for breakfast may not be enough for a main set.
I am Grateful for the nice breakfast and really hope good and value-for-money hawker food will still be with Singapore and Singaporeans for a long long time.
With high cost of living, I believe it is important to stretch every little dollar (aka save as much as we can) but at the same time, we can spend a little more once a while to recharge and pamper ourselves away from work.
And always be Grateful for what we have and do not focus on the material things that we may not have. Example, even as my work pace has been very hectic, I am Grateful for a still having a job and the opportunity to work from home few days a week: just imagine this work from home arrangement is just so unthinkable in pre-covid 19 days.
Like many of you, I embrace challenges at work and I believe embracing challenges makes me a better person.
